Severs Relations With Tinubu For His Participation In The Worst Electoral Fraud In Nigeria Recent History
Following the outcome of the February 25, presidential election that saw Bola Ahmed Tinubu emerging as the winner, the National Democratic Coalition, NADECO, United States of America, of which Bola Tinubu was one of the founding members in Nigeria , has requested the international communities to support the empanelling of a team of internationally acclaimed technical experts to interrogate the INEC servers and BVAS, etc to extract the original votes.
The Pro democracy advocacy group also threaten to cut all ties with Bola Tinubu for his participation in the worst electoral fraud in the history of the country.
Rising from its meeting Sunday, in the US, Nadeco, through its Executive Director, Lloyd Ugwu, reeled out some of the resolutions to be reached by Wednesday, March 8, when the group intends to meet concerning the just concluded presidential election in Nigeria, which has been described by many as well as the international communities as largely flawed and lacking in transparency.
According to Nadeco: “We are national, not partisan, remember. We are not representing Labour Party, People’s Democratic Party etc. we are representing the Nigerian masses, period. We are specifically challenging the process for the court of international community opinion to condemn.”
The group went on to say: “Nadeco fought Abacha as a military dictator who scuttled the will of the Nigerian people in 1993, exactly thirty years ago, and in 2023 Nadeco is fighting the same dictatorship, but only this time, a much more dangerous civilian dictatorship.”
Referring to Tinubu, the group felt disappointed that this time around, it was mostly perpetuated by one of those who were in the trenches to fight Abacha,” adding that nadeco will not look the other way simply because the fraud was perpetuated by one of its founding members.
The Pro-democracy group disclosed that after their meeting on Wednesday, they will reach and introduce a non-binding resolution in which they intend to call on the US administration not to recognize the product of the election stressing that ,”it is the product of a poisonous tree.”
NADECO, USA, is one of the premiere and foremost pro-democracy advocacy group, registered as far back as 1995 by a group of Nigerians that went into exile in the United States of America to escape the wrath of the then military dictator, General Sani Abacha.
Some of its earlier founders included the late Chief Anthony Enahoro, Chief Ralph Obioha, Chief Ralp Uwechue, Commodore Dan Suleiman and Dr. Wahab Dosunmu. Others are, General Akirinade, Chief John Oyegun to mention a few.
