The Supreme Court, Wednesday, validated the election of Senator Ademola Adeleke of the People’s Democratic Party, as the authentic winner and elected governor of Osun state.
The apex court In the judgment read by Justice Emmanuel Agim, agreed with the judgment of the subordinate Appeal Court’s which upheld the election of Adeleke as the state governor.
The five-man panel led by Justice Emmanuel Akomaye Agim declared Adeleke winner while dismissing the appeal filed by the candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the 2022 Governorship Candidate, Gboyega Oyetola.
According to the Supreme Court, the verdict was based on the premise that the appellant, Oyetola of the APC, failed to proof overvoting in the Osun guber elections held ten months ago.
