Four persons were confirmed dead while 11 others sustained injuries in an accident involving a Foton bus at the Aiyetoro axis on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
Spokesperson, Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, TRACE, Mr. Babatunde Akinbiyi, confirmed this to newsmen on Sunday in Abeokuta.
Akinbiyi explained that the accident which occurred about 10:00 in the morning on Sunday was caused by tyre burst.
He said the tyre burst led to the commercial bus somersaulting into a ditch, adding that 15 people were in the bus, comprising three men and 12 women.
11 women were injured, three men and one woman died in the accident, the TRACE spokesman said.
