Strike: NASU To Down Tools Soon Over Withheld Salaries

Indications are rife that the university workers might make good their threat of downing tools and paralyze the university system.

Members of the Non- Academic Staff Union of Educational and other Associated Institutions, NASU, have threatened to resume their suspended strike over four-month withheld salaries by the Federal Government.

Reports by Vanguard states that the General Secretary of NASU, Prince Peters Adeyemi, gave the hint on the sideline of the ongoing National Executive Council, NEC, of the Union taking place in Abuja.

However, the exact date of the commencement of the strike is not yet known as NEC members will take a decision on that in due course.
