As President-elect Donald Trump gears up for his second coming, his trusted aides and allies during the 2024 presidential campaign are also priming for action.
Some of those allies already mentioned for key positions are:
Susie Wiles, chief of staff
Wiles, 67, is President-elect Donald Trump’s first major decision after winning the 2024 election.
Wiles, a senior adviser and de facto manager to Trump in the just concluded election, reportedly earned Trump’s trust and respect by shepherding what could be described as the most disciplined of Trump’s three presidential campaigns.
Mike Waltz, is another of Donald Trump’s trusted aides who is being touted for the post of a national security adviser.
Waltz, a retired Army National Guard officer and war veteran, may as President-elect Trump’s national security adviser, will be expected to oversee and proffer solutions to the long and repetitive series of grievances begging for answers; from the national security issues to the war between Russia and Ukraine and the unending attacks in the Middle East involving Iran proxies and the Israeli State.
Waltz is a three-term GOP congressman from east-central Florida. He served multiple tours in Afghanistan and worked in the Pentagon as a policy adviser when Donald Rumsfeld and Robert Gates were defense chiefs.
He is considered hawkish on China and called for a U.S. boycott of the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing due to its involvement in the origin of COVID-19 and its ongoing mistreatment of the minority Muslim Uighur population.
Tom Homan,62, is another loyalist of Trump who shares a sentiment similar to Donald Trump’s on issues relating to immigration and the border. Homan known as the ‘border despot’, is being tasked with Trump’s top priority of effecting the largest deportation in the history of America.
Homan was reported in a July conference in Washington to have suggested that he would be willing to “run the biggest deportation operation this country’s ever seen.”
Elise Stefanik, 40, is a representative from New York and one of Trump’s committed supporters. Stefanik will likely serve as ambassador to the United Nations.
If confirmed, she would represent American interests at the U.N. as Trump vows to end the war waged by Russia against Ukraine beginning in 2022. He has also called for peace as Israel continues its offensive against Hamas in Gaza and its invasion of Lebanon to target Hezbollah.
Stephen Miller, 39, an immigration hardliner, will likely serve as deputy chief of staff for policy. He served as a senior adviser during Trump’s first term in Office as president. Miller was a key factor in Trump’s decision to separate thousands of immigrant families.
More appointments are expected as president-elect Donald Trump braces himself to take over the reins of government from Joe Biden on January 20, 2025, for his second administration.
Donald Trump was the 45th president of the United States of America after he defeated Hillary Rodham Clinton in a tight race to the White House. After one term in Office, Trump was ousted from the White House by Joe Biden, a liberal Democrat in the 2020 election. In the just concluded 2024 presidential election, Trump, representing the Republican Party trounced his Democratic opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris in a landslide. Trump will become the 47th president of the United States of America when he takes the oath of Office on January 20, 2025.
