Peter Obi has expressed serious concerns about threats to his safety, stating that the uncertainty of the future may prevent him from being alive to run in the 2027 presidential election.

Presidential hopeful Peter Obi has voiced new worries about his safety, stating he isn’t sure he will live to see the 2027 election. During the *With Chude* interview, shared on X on Wednesday, Obi accused the current administration of systematically undermining his business interests and personal affairs, describing the pattern as intentional rather than random.

When asked if he would definitely be on the ballot in 2027, Obi was clear: “I might not even be alive,” he said, noting that nearly every part of his livelihood has been quietly but persistently pressured by the government.

The former Anambra State governor went further, claiming that the crackdown is not just on him but also on opposition figures, who face personal targeting by authorities. He recounted an incident at the airport where his car was reportedly clamped while others were left untouched, and said the official involved seemed dismissive when he identified himself.

Obi also revealed that a climate of fear has permeated his personal relationships, with some associates avoiding public association with him. He mentioned supporters who have even asked him to stay away from family celebrations like weddings, out of fear of attracting unwanted attention.
