The first Africa Cup of Nations to be played in Cameroon since 1972 has witnessed a lot of surprises as Egypt on Sunday beat Morocco by two goals to one to shoot its way up to the semi- finals in the on-going African Cup of Nations.
With this, Egypt is expected to face the host team, Cameroun, for a slot at the final.
Saleh scored the first goal with the second goal coming at the extra time in favour of Egypt.
Sofiane Boufai scored scored Morocco’s lone goal in an early lead with a penalty.
The tournament has seen plenty of stars falling short of expectation. The almost month long tournament will continue until February 6.
On Thursday, February 3, Carlos Queiroz’s side will square with hosts Cameroun in the semi-final.
