Fuel Scarcity Looms Across Nigeria As Long Queues Resurface At The Filing Stations

Fuel scarcity appears imminent as long queues are seen at most filling stations particularly on Lagos Island and some parts of the mainland.

Although, no one could tell the reason for the long queues, some motorists suspect that there might be likely increase in the price of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, despite denials by the government that they have no plans of removing subsidy on petroleum products.

Motorists are seen, Monday, spending hours of their productive day on queues, amid rumours of an  imminent scarcity and that the trend could spread across the country.

It is, however, not clear yet what could be the cause of the long queues at the filling stations, as no official statement has emerged from the government. But, commuters and Nigerians are adopting a wait-and-see attitude while taking all precautions not to be caught unawares.
