The image manager and leader of the media team of Governor Charles Soludo, during last year’s gubernatorial election in Anambra State, Joe Anatume has passed on.
Confirming the sad development, a statement issued by the chief press secretary to the Governor, Christian Aburime, expressed shock and disbelief over the news of Anatune’s sudden death.
According to Aburime: “Soludo described Joe Anatune as one of the foremost Apostles of the Soludo project with an uncommon strength and courage to deliver on any given assignment, adding that Joe’s personal sacrifices during his electioneering campaign were not only exceptional, but highly commendable.
The statement added that “Governor Soludo had since commiserated with Anatune’s wife, Mrs Ify Anatune and children, the Anatune family and Awa community, over the sudden loss of their illustrious son.”
Anatune died on Saturday, few days after his 62nd birthday, and a little over a week after he was appointed on April 19, 2022, by Governor Soludo as managing director/ chief executive of Anambra State Signage and Advertising Agency.
Anatume led the Soludo Promoters Forum (SPF) and for two years used the platform to engage the professionals into mainstream politics.
Governor Soludo in his condolence message to the family said that Joe Anatume will be sorely missed by the people and government of Anambra State, whom he had served so well.
