A former President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Mr Takai Shamang has been abducted in at his residence at Biniki, in Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna state.
Shamang, 78, was reportedly taken away by unknown gunmen at about 8:00pm on Friday to an unknown destination .
Shamang, who is also the president and founder of a Non- Governmental Organisation known as the Gantys Aid for Widows, Orphans and Needy Foundation, GAWON, was also a former President General of the National Union of Electricity and Gas Workers, now National Union of Electricity Employees between 1982 and 1989.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), reports that his daughter, Mrs Grace Abbin, confirmed the news about her father’s abduction.
