Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party has picked his former presidential aide and Director-General of his Campaign Organisation, Dr. Doyin Okupe, as his running mat.e
Spokesman of the party Dr Yinusa Tanko says Okupe’s name has been submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Reports say that the choice of Okupe may have been a tactical move by the party to meet with the Independent National Electoral Commission’s, INEC’s deadline for the submission of names of vice presidential aspirants by the various political parties.
