The presidency has announced a reoganisation of the State House media and communications team for effective dissemination of policies and decisions to the public in compliance with the administration’s goals.
Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, said that the changes involve the re-designation of key official.
In the new arrangement, Sunday Dare, previously assigned the duty of Special Adviser on Public Communication and National Orientation, will now serve as Special Adviser, Media and Public Communications, while, Daniel Bwala, earlier appointed as Special Adviser, Media and Public Communications, will take on the role of Special Adviser, Policy Communication.
“These appointments underscore that there is no single individual spokesperson for the Presidency,” Onanuga stated.
“These appointments, along with the existing role of Special Adviser, Information and Strategy , underscore that there is no single individual spokesperson for the Presidency.
“Instead, all the three Special Advisers will collectively serve as spokespersons for the government.
“This approach aims to ensure effective and consistent communication of government policies, decisions, and engagements,” the statement reads.
