The annual IT Governance Conference, ITGOV 2026, will bring together government officials and technology sector stakeholders in Abuja next month to discuss Nigeria’s digital public infrastructure agenda as the country advances key digital transformation initiatives.
The conference, organised by Tranter IT Infrastructure Services Limited and powered by ManageEngine, is scheduled to be held on July 15, 2026, in Abuja, under the theme “Building Nigeria’s Digital Public Infrastructure for Economic Growth, Security, and Governance Efficiency”.
A statement from the organisers stated that the event comes as the Federal Government rolls out its Digital Public Infrastructure framework, deploys the Nigerian Data Exchange and integrates national identity systems across multiple sectors.
According to the organisers, attention has shifted from whether Nigeria should build digital public infrastructure to ensuring that institutions responsible for its delivery are aligned, equipped and capable of making informed decisions that support national development objectives.
Speaking ahead of the conference, the Chief Executive Officer of Tranter IT Infrastructure Services Limited, Dr. Emmanuel Ayoola, said the country had entered a critical stage in its digital transformation journey.
“Nigeria’s digital infrastructure agenda is no longer theoretical. Institutions are making foundational decisions right now, and the margin for misalignment is narrow.
“ITGOV 2026 exists to ensure that the people driving those decisions have the context, the peer engagement and the clarity of thinking that this moment demands”, he said.
The one-day programme will feature keynote addresses, fireside discussions and a panel session involving senior public sector officials, technology leaders and policy experts.
Discussions are expected to focus on strategies for strengthening governance, enhancing security and improving service delivery through digital infrastructure.
Communications Manager of Tranter IT Infrastructure Services Limited, Abel Edoka, said the conference was designed to move beyond policy discussions and focus on implementation.
He noted that the event would provide decision-makers with an opportunity to exchange ideas, share experiences and explore practical solutions for building resilient and efficient digital systems that support economic growth and effective governance.
Industry observers said the conference is expected to attract senior government officials, chief information officers, technology executives, regulators and public policy professionals involved in shaping Nigeria’s digital future.
With major digital infrastructure projects already underway, ITGOV 2026 is being positioned as a platform for aligning stakeholders and supporting the transition from policy development to implementation.
