The National Examinations Council (NECO) has postponed the 2023 National Common Entrance Examinations (NCEE) which is conducted for admission into Federal Unity Colleges from Saturday 29th April, 2023 to Saturday 3rd June 2023, just as the Universal Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, held in some parts of the country had to be shelved due to technical glitches.

Disclosing this on Wednesday, head Information and Public Relations Division, NECO, Azeez Sani , implored candidates, parents, guardians, schools and relevant stakeholders to take note of the new date for the examination, adding that the registration of candidates will continue till the new date of the exam.
Meanwhile, some candidates for the UTME examination which kicked off on Tuesday, the 25th of April were unable to take their exams due to some technical hitches
In some parts of Rivers State were disoriented for inability to commence their examinations in good time. Similar delays and system failures were experienced in other parts of the country, where the examinations were being held, involving, according to unconfirmed sources, over 100 Computer Based Tests Centers throughout the country.
Officials of the Joint Admission Matriculation Board, JAMB, said that those affected by the technical glitches may need to rewrite their examinations at a later date.
